How I work
My practice is an integration of Humanistic modalities, including Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt, Relational Psychoanalysis, and Internal Family Systems.
Humanistic psychotherapy prizes your innate capacity to heal and self-actualize. So we work to understand the internal and external forces that might constrain this natural tendency towards growth, as well as the resources that support and strengthen it.
I work with body awareness and mindfulness principles to support clients in moving at their own pace with a sense of safety, presence and self-compassion.
Research shows that the key to good outcomes in therapy is not a matter of modality or technique. Rather, it's held in the relationship of equality, mutuality and trust between client and therapist. I keep this principle central to my practice.
